PORVORIM: 90.64% students passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim. The passing percentage of girls was 92.42% while that of boys was 88.69%. A total of 17,686 students took the examination, while 16,030 passed. The results were declared by the Goa Board on Thursday.
In 2024, a total of 17511 students had appeared, of which 14,884 students had passed the examination with a pass percentage of 85%
The candidates with overall grade of ‘H’ and or ‘I’ are placed in "Needs Improvement Category". Supplementary examination will be conducted by the Board for those candidates who are placed in “Needs Improvement” irrespective of number of subjects with ‘Needs Improvement’ remark or who have withdrawn or remained absent for the examination.
