PANJIM: The Aam Admi Party has attacked Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for his statements that Marwadis should increase their business in Goa and employ Goans. This means that all BJP schemes for Viksit Goa have failed. Marwadis are only running shops here, what employment will they given to Goans, Vice President Valmiki Naik asked.

Valmiki said that unemployment is highest in Goa. All the schemes are meant for those investing more than Rs 5000 crores, not for Goan youth. Marwadis are running medical stores, hardware and electrical stores. What employment will the give to Goans? They are only trading, not manufacturing, Naik observed.

Vice President Valmiki Naik also flayed Sawant for his appeal Rajasthanis to support BJP in 2027 Assembly elections. Francis Coelho also said that the entire startup eco system has failed under the BJP.

AAP leader Francis Coelho said that the entire startup eco system had failed in Goa under the BJP. There were 33% startups set up by women, today there are no figures about women startups, he said. The scheme for Rs 1 lakh for startup ideas is non functional. No promises for startups to Goan youth have been fulfilled by the BJP he said.
