At the same time, expressing serious concern about the quality of education at the secondary level which in-turn gives poor students output at higher secondary level, the Mushtifund Aryaans have applied to government seeking permission to start un-aided school for standard VIII, IX and X from the next academic year.
Speaking to media persons, the secretary cum administrator of Mushtifund Saunstha Suhaas Sardessai announced that the institute is planning to launch coaching classes to prepare students for UPSC, IAS, GPSC, IFS examinations. “We would be the first institute to have such training for the students in the State. Those are very tough and competitive examination and we want to take it up as a challenge,” he said.
The president of Saunstha Anil Khaunte said higher secondary is facing serious problem of quality of students taking admissions for XI standard. “The quality of education at the secondary level is not very good. Hence, in a bid to groom the students’ right at the secondary level, we have sought permission from the government for un-aided school for standard VIII, IX and X. The application is pending,” he said.
“If government allows, we can commence the same from the coming academic year,” he said adding the higher secondary will soon be shifted to Cujira educational complex.
Speaking on the same, Principal Venkatesh Prabhudesai said that ‘it is very sad but fact that the input that we get from secondary level is very bad…the students that we get are not worth IIT…but we groom and train them so much in the XIth standard itself and the results are before you all”.
