MAPUSA: St Sebastian SC registered a hard fought 3-2 win over YSC Colvale, in the GFA’s Third Division league Bardez zone, played at Duler stadium, here, on Thursday.

The teams were locked 1-1 at the breather.

Sahil Jalmi led the charge for St Sebastian, netting a brace, while Alano D’souza added a crucial goal in their hard-fought win.

YSC Colvale struck first, with Adarsh Fadte finding the back of the net just three minutes into the match. However, St Sebastian responded quickly, leveling the score in the 15th minute when Jalmi slotted home a precise strike from the edge of the box, setting the stage for a fiercely contested encounter.

In the second half, St Sebastian came out with renewed determination, and their persistence paid off when Alano D’Souza fired them into the lead in the 58th minute. Colvale's woes deepened as Celroy Mendes received a straight red card for a reckless challenge, reducing his side to ten men.

Despite the setback, Colvale continued to press and found an equalizer through Cyrus Da Cruz, who blasted one in to make it 2-2. But St Sebastian had the final say, as Jalmi secured his brace in the dying minutes, sealing a dramatic 3-2 victory for his team.
