PANJIM: In a major development, in the Goa University question paper leakage allegedly by an Assistant Professor of Physics, the government has taken over the inquiry, after widespread furore among the student community and public at large.

The Government on Thursday March 20, 2025 appointed a four member high level enquiry committee. The inquiry committee is headed by Retd Justice RMS Khandeparkar, Former Judge of the High Court of Bombay, o inquire into alleged paper leakage by a faculty member at Goa University.

The other members of the committee are Bosco George, IPS (Retd), Former DIG Government of Goa, Dr Radhika Nayak, Former Registrar of Goa University and Prof.  MRK Prasad, Professor at VM Salgaocar Law College. The committee will submit its report at the earliest.

The directorate of higher education will provide the necessary secretarial support to the committee and Goa University shall provide a well equipped space for Office and meetings of the committee, according to the order issued in the name of the Governor of Goa, signed by Safal Shetye, Under Secretary ( Higher Education).
