MARGAO: Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao on Saturday met the senior Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar and Praful Patil in New Delhi and discussed the issues pertaining to the next Assembly elections.
Churchill along with his daughter Valanka Alemao is in Delhi and there are apprehensions that many issues related to political development have been discussed.
When asked, he said that will inform about the issue discussed when returned to the State. It must be noted that in the last few days, Goa has witnessed several political leaders rushing to Delhi, including former tourism minister Mickky Pacheco.
Earlier, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, Congress State President Girish Chodankar, South Goa Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Francisco Sardinha, besides senior Congress leader Luizinho Faleiro and Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco had been summoned to Delhi with regard to change in leadership in the State. Parallel to that former MLA Mickky Pacheco had also rushed to Delhi to meet the senior Congress leaders, as there are apprehensions that he will be joining Congress very soon.
Churchill on his visit to Delhi met NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar and Praful Patil. Besides, he along with Valanka visited the Little Flower Church, demolished a few days back, and met the parishioners.
