MARGAO: The Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary Damu Naik congratulated the Goa Government led by Dr. Parmod Sawant for having tabled a development centric budget.
"I congratulate the Goa government and Dr. Pramod Sawant for having placed the budget. The budget is a mirror of the society and is a reflection of the people of Goa and their aspirations," said Naik.
Critisising the Opposition Naik said,"This budget has balanced all the factors and delivered to the people which is creating a threat to the opposition.”
"The finance Department is working hard to reduce tax burdens on the people of Goa while ensuring the development continues in Goa," he added.
Naik claimed making provisions for land and houses for the people, the Government has taken care of all. “ To alleviate the troubles of the sons of the soil the Government has taken welcome steps," said Damu.
"Rs 65 cr for major towns is also a great step which will help the Margao town," he added.
Naik elated on the declaration of a new medical college for South District . “I am happy that the projects that were planned during my tenure in ruling as well as opposition" Damu informed.
When asked whether the college will be private or Government run Damu said, "Government will take a decision on that."
