PANJIM: The State government has extended the renewal of the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana (DDSSY) cards till April 30 this year.

According to the Public Health Department, the card holders need not wait for SMS anymore for manual renewal at DDSSY kendras and they can renew their DDSSY card online by visiting www.goaonline.gov.in and by paying renewal fee of Rs 200 for family of three or less members and Rs 300 for family of four and above members. 

The renewal of DDSSY cards which started from February 20 this year ended on March 31. The cards are renewed for the next policy period  from April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.

The government had issued 2.9 lakh cards and covered 10 lakh population. Also more than 84,000 procedures had been conducted under cashless health insurance scheme, till date.

As many as 56 hospitals from within and outside Goa have been empanelled under the DDSSY scheme. In addition to 447 interventions and more than 30 ayurvedic procedures have been listed under the scheme.

The government had earlier auto-renewal all DDSSY cards for the two successive years, during Covid-19 pandemic.
