DHE selects 30 budding talents under Parrikar Goa Scholar Scheme

PANJIM: The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) has selected 30 budding talents as “Goa Scholars” under the Manohar Parrikar Goa Scholar Scheme for the academic year 2020-21.  

As per the press statement issued by the DHE, total 160 candidates had applied for the scheme for the academic year 2020-21.  The Selection Committee chaired by Prof Gopal Mugeraya, Director, National Institute of Technology – Goa, selected the candidates.  Under the scheme, Rs 8 lakh is provided to the candidate to pursue higher studies in India or USD 25,000 for studies abroad. 

The selected candidates are Julian D’Costa, Raghuvendra Vernekar, Pranav Khadpe, Ved Dubashi, Deepan Solanki, Shruti Mukherjee, Tarun Mascarenhas, Rajas Chari, Vasu Gupta, Bernice D’Souza, Aarti Joshi, Anushka Panjikar, Shashwat Salgaocar, Reuben Rajadhyaksha, Manpreet Kaur, Vaibhav Kamat, Srinidhi Pawar, Shreyas Parab, Sampada, Shendure, Manasi Kamat, Shantadurga Desai, Abhijit Markande, Sidhant Phadte, Sharmad Verlekar, Leo D’Souza, Prachi Naik, Rahul Da Gama, Charmaine Fernandes, Rashmi Viegas and Sharoni Sharma. 

These students are from diverse areas like Computer Science, Behavioural and Cognitive Neuroscience Engineering, Physics, Management, Statistics, Medical Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical, Linguistics, Governance and Public Policy etc.
