PANJIM: The State government has decided to appoint former Goa Intelligence Bureau (IB) chief and Chief Immigration Officer, Arvind Kumar H Nair as the State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC) and Atmaram Barve, currently posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister, as State Information Commissioner (SIC), even as minutes were yet to be finalised and signed.
The official sources informed that the names of both, Nair and Barve, have been finalised for the two posts, which are lying vacant since March this year. The minutes could not be finalised and signed as Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was out
of station. It will be done on Monday, the sources said.
