MARGAO/PANJIM: In a major controversy, Warren Alemao has attacked Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas for comparing what he called “Goa’s corrupt government to Bhausaheb Bandodkar’s legacy.” At a function, while chief minister Pramod Sawant was inauguration the STP plant in Benaulim, AAP MLA Venzy Viegas had compared Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to the MGP’s first chief minister Dayanand Bandodkar.

This blatant insult to our tall leaders exposes his priorities and allegiance and called Venzy B team of BJP. AAP and Venzy are hand-in-glove with the BJP, Warren  alleged.

“On Opinion Poll Day, instead of honoring Jack Sequeira, the true architect of Goa’s identity, he shamelessly compares Goa’s corrupt government to Bhausaheb Bandodkar’s legacy,” Warren said.

“This blatant insult to our tall leaders such as Dayanand Bandodkar and Jack Sequeira exposes his priorities and allegiance. From day one, I’ve said AAP and Venzy are hand-in-glove with the BJP. Come 2027, the people of Benaulim Constituency will show him what true Goan pride looks like,” Warren warned.

Warren also said there was no cash for jobs scam, rampant hill cutting and sale of land during Bandodkar’s regime.

When confronted with the attack by Warren Alemao, AAP Goa President Amit Palekar said that his MLAs remarks have been twisted and one has to understand the remarks of Venzy on Opinion Poll and the day before where CM had inaugurated a school in Benaulim.

Palekar denied these allegations and said that he does not doubt the integrity of both his MLAs. Venzy is committed to development and there will be not let off in AAP’s attack on the BJP government, Palekar said.
