MARGAO: The Goa Forward Party (GFP) is seriously looking at Cuncolim as a winning constituency at the forthcoming elections and Vijai Sardessai is monitoring all developments in the constituency every fortnight disclosed Goa Forward Party Vice President Durgadas Kamat.
Speaking to media persons he said the two other Goa Forward Ministers Jayesh Salgaonkar and Vinod Palyenkar will be touring the constituency shortly with Jayesh Salgaonkar visiting the village panchayat areas next month itself.
Pointing out that Sameer Shaikh has been appointed the president of Youth Front for Cuncolim constituency, he said very shortly the Goa Forward Party constituency committee would be announced.
He also disclosed that former Guirdolim sarpanch and presently a member of the panchayat Sonia Fernandes would be shortly nominated as vice president of all Goa women’s wing of the Goa Forward Party.
“We are here to do serious business and that is why Yuri is in the party office at Cuncolim every day while I visit it on Thursday morning,” he said.
