PANJIM: Revealing that the Goa Housing Board (GHB) earned Rs 6 crore in revenue from the e-action of some of its flats, GHB chairman Subhash Shirodkar on Thursday said the online action has got a great response.
Speaking to media persons, Shirodkar clarified that the sale was made only to Goans and that there were three categories of buyers.
He added that a new clause had been put preventing the sale of properties for ten years.
He said there over 100 flats to be sold in the next two-three months and that there are plots and office complexes to be sold as well.
He said areas such as Bicholim, Tivim, Mapusa, Porvorim, Quepem and even Canacona have GHB properties.
The Shiroda MLA, who is also the Chairman of the State-level task force on National Education Policy (NEP) said the government is making preparations for the implementation of the foundation course, which covers nursery to second standard as per the existing format, which is set to be revamped.
In this regard, he said the government is presently collecting data on the status of nursery education in the State, which covers the information on the infrastructure of such schools, their location, the number of establishments in the private sector, anganwadis, etc.
On the syllabus, he said it is a play way method and that awareness programmes are underway for teachers etc.
He said the government is also looking at housing anganwadis in primary school complexes, which he said, would solve the problems faced by them.
