SATTARI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday disclosed that the Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC) is the only Corporation which has created jobs in COVID-19 pandemic period and will recruit more than 1,500 security guards in the Corporation soon and in future the GHRDC will register with Skill India Mission.
The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest for the function of passing out parade of male security guards and induction of new batch of female security guards, at the Forest Training School’s auditorium hall, Valpoi.
This is the tenth passing batch of 85 security guards of Division Third. In 2012, the GHRDC was started and in 2015, the first security guards batch was passed out.
“The GHRDC was having very less finances and due to this was not able to give salary properly. So we started the recovery drive and through it the problem of finances has been solved. The monthly salary of security guards comes to around Rs 5 crore and there are around 3,000 plus security guards in the GHRDC,” informed Narayan Navti, managing director.
