On the 114th birth anniversary of Dayanand Bandodkar, Goa's first Chief Minister, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that, starting next year, all programs dedicated to Bandodkar will be held at his Samadhi at Miramar Beach. This decision is part of efforts to honor the legacy of Bandodkar, who played a significant role in shaping Goa’s political and social landscape.

To further commemorate his contributions, the renovation work at the Bhausaheb Bandodkar Samadhi in Miramar is currently underway. The renovation is being funded by the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) at an estimated cost of ₹9.48 crore.

The renovation project aims to preserve the site and improve its accessibility for visitors. The Samadhi has become a place of historical significance for the people of Goa, and the redevelopment will ensure it remains a fitting tribute to Bandodkar’s legacy.

By hosting future programs at the Samadhi, the government intends to ensure that the memory of Dayanand Bandodkar continues to inspire future generations. The initiative reflects the state's commitment to preserving its rich history and promoting its leaders’ contributions to Goa's development.
