Goa Traffic Police Reopens NH-66 for All Vehicles, Local Bus Services Resume
Published on

The Goa Traffic Police have announced that the NH-66 stretch from O’Coqueiro junction towards Nexa Showroom in Porvorim, which was temporarily closed to heavy vehicles last week, is now fully open for all traffic. This decision comes as a relief to commuters, especially after the disruption that impacted daily travel. Local route buses, in particular, will now resume their normal services along NH-66, operating from O’Coqueiro junction towards the Mapusa side, starting today.

The Goa Traffic Police urge all local bus operators to take note of this development and resume their regular routes on NH-66. By doing so, bus operators can help reduce traffic congestion on the CHOGM road, a critical concern for smooth city transit. This reopening of NH-66 is expected to ease the traffic flow, particularly for those traveling to and from Porvorim and Mapusa, providing an efficient route and smoother travel experience for both buses and general traffic.

Local bus operators are encouraged to use NH-66 as their preferred route to avoid further congestion and delays, ensuring a quicker and more convenient commute for all. The Goa Traffic Police continue to monitor traffic patterns and urge everyone to stay updated on any further changes.
