The long-pending demand for a cultural centre in North Goa moved a step closer to reality with the government approving the construction of a new Ravindra Bhavan at Tuem.
The upcoming complex will be built on a sprawling 50,000 sq. metre plot at an estimated cost of ₹120 crore, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The project aims to provide a modern cultural hub for theatre, music, dance, and community activities, on the lines of Ravindra Bhavans already functioning in Margao, Curchorem and Baina.
Detailed project plans, including facilities and timelines, are expected to be announced soon.
