3 foreigners arrested for overstaying

PANJIM: A special operation conducted by the Mandrem Police resulted in the arrest of three foreign nationals residing at Arambol without valid travel documents.

According to police, the trio have been identified as Nabadda Betty (44) and Nonsubuga (25), both from Uganda, and Kimala Vanlalmunaai (38) from Payoung, North Korea.

Police stated that the accused were arrested after it was found that they were residing in India without valid documents authorising their stay in India.

The trio has been booked under the Foreigner Order of 1948 and the Foreigners Act of 1946 at the Mandrem Police Station.

Further investigations are in progress with PI Sherrif Jacques under the supervision of SDPO, Pernem Jivba Dalvi and Superintendent of Police North Goa, Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
