PANJIM: The Mapusa Police have registered a case against unidentified persons for allegedly stealing three land sale deeds from the Bardez Sub-Registrar’s office, in Mapusa.
Speaking to reporters, DySP Sandesh Chodankar said Bardez Sub-Registrar Rishik Naik lodged a complaint stating that three sale deeds - two from the month of June and one from May, this year have been stolen.
Based on his complaint, an FIR was registered on Wednesday, September 11 and investigation taken up.
The disappearance of the sale deeds from the Sub-Registrar’s has raised suspicions among the people. The case is being investigated under the guidance of Mapusa Police Station PI Nikhil Palekar.
