49-Year-Old Farmer Walks 4 Km Home After Bear Attack Near Joida, Undergoes Treatment in Belagavi

In a shocking incident near Ramnagar in Joida taluk, a 49-year-old farmer, Maruti Malekar, was seriously injured in a bear attack while returning home.

According to local sources, the wild bear attacked Malekar unexpectedly, inflicting severe injuries to his head and limbs. Despite bleeding heavily and in intense pain, the resilient farmer managed to walk nearly 4 kilometers to reach his home.

He was later rushed to KLE Hospital in Belagavi, where he is currently undergoing treatment. His condition is reported to be stable but serious.

Forest department officials have been informed, and efforts are underway to monitor wildlife activity in the area to prevent further incidents.
