Arvind Kejriwal, national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has cancelled his planned visit to Goa due to escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan. The announcement was made by AAP Goa president Amit Palekar during a press conference on Friday. Kejriwal was set to visit the Shree Lairai Temple in Shirgao and inaugurate a new party office in Santa Cruz, but these events have been postponed due to the current situation.

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has called off his Goa visit because of the ongoing India-Pakistan war situation. Instead, he will attend a high-level meeting in Punjab, where AAP is in power, said AAP Goa President Amit Palekar.

Palekar stated that Kejriwal has redirected his focus to Punjab, where security concerns have grown following cross-border shelling in districts near Pakistan. Given that AAP leads the state government in Punjab, Kejriwal’s presence there is considered vital to address the heightened tensions. The party's decision underscores its prioritisation of governance and security during this national crisis.
