AAP Intensifies ‘BJPche Burak’ Campaign in South Goa With Door-to-Door Signature Drive Against Pothole-Ridden Roads

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Goa has stepped up its 'BJPche Burak' campaign with a large-scale door-to-door signature drive across South Goa, drawing strong participation from residents frustrated with the state's pothole-ridden roads.

The campaign covered Margao, Fatorda, Quepem, Sanguem, Navelim, Nuvem, Mormugao, Dabolim, Shi-roda and Curtorim, where a large number of people signed in support of urgent action on what they de scribed as collapsing road infrastructure.

In Curtorim, AAP Vice President Roque Fer-nandes led the drive, listen-ing to first-hand accounts from residents who said potholes had turned their daily travels into a night-mare. Several expressed

anger that despite paying taxes, they were forced to endure unsafe roads that continue to claim lives.

Fernandes pointed out that even Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had ac-knowledged during the As-sembly session that nearly half of Goa's road accident deaths are linked to poor road conditions. "If the CM himself admits this, what more proof do we need that the government has completely failed?" he said.

Taking a swipe at the BJP, Fernandes contrasted the party's promises with the ground reality. "Union High-way Minister Nitin Gadkari talks about India's roads matching the US. But look at Goa, a tourism state hosting international events our roads are filled with pot-holes and waterlogging. What image does this give to the world?" he asked.
