The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced the distribution of responsibilities among its current State office-bearers as part of its preparations for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections. In a meeting held under the leadership of the AAP State President Adv Amit Palekar, clear roles were assigned to each member to ensure an organised, coordinated, and determined campaign. Adv Palekar reaffirmed, “We will contest the elections independently, and with full force against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The party leadership has emphasised that these elections will be a platform to take AAP’s vision of clean governance, people-centric policies, and grassroots empowerment directly to the voters and challenge widespread corruption in the State.” Velim MLA Cruz Silva said, “In the last threeand-half years, AAP has consistently stood with the people of Goa, raising their issues, exposing corruption, and demanding accountability. Now, we are taking that same commitment directly to the people through the ZP elections.

This is not just about contesting polls, it is about showing Goans that we are going to fight for their rights, and offer a genuine alternative to the failed governance of BJP” said Silva. AAP general secretary (organisation) Shrikrishna Parab said that the party is committed to take up people’s issues through campaigns like #BJPCheBurak.

Each of the office-bearers has been entrusted with specific responsibilities to mobilise local support, highlight people’s issues, and present AAP’s alternative model of governance. “We will fight the elections as a single, united force, determined to defeat the BJP’s misrule."
