Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Tuesday marked the completion of eleven years of the Narendra Modi-led government by declaring that “Acche Din Aye Hai” (Good days have come). Addressing a press conference, Sawant reflected on the journey since 2013, when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) first gave the slogan “Acche Din Ane Wale Hai” (Good days are coming). Now, he said, the promise has been fulfilled, and the nation is looking ahead to “Viksit Bharat 2047”—a vision for a developed India by its centenary of independence.

Sawant described the current period as the “Amrit Kal” of Viksit Bharat, a time of transformation and opportunity. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the “Clean India” campaign, which has evolved into broader initiatives like “Fit India,” emphasizing not just physical cleanliness but also the cleansing of corruption from the system. “That is why, during the last eleven years, there is not a single allegation of corruption against the Modi-led government,” Sawant asserted.

Highlighting the government’s achievements, Sawant praised Modi’s leadership for delivering a “responsive, responsible government with the aim to reform, perform, and transform.” He noted that significant reforms have been undertaken, including the replacement of outdated laws with new, progressive legislation.

Sawant also pointed to visible changes in infrastructure and human resources, stating that the past decade has seen remarkable growth and modernization. He emphasized the increasing role of public participation in policymaking and project implementation, reflecting a more inclusive approach to governance.

As India enters this new phase, Sawant reaffirmed his confidence in the Modi government’s vision, expressing optimism for a brighter, more prosperous future for all citizens.
