Air India Express (AIX) has discontinued its recently launched direct flights from Goa’s Manohar International Airport (GOX) to Abu Dhabi and Kuwait City. The decision comes just months after both routes were introduced, with flights to Kuwait City commencing on May 3 and services to Abu Dhabi starting on May 5.
The airline has not provided an official reason for the suspension, but the move has left many international travelers and members of the Goan diaspora disappointed. The discontinued routes were seen as a boost to Goa’s growing connectivity from Mopa, particularly to the Middle East.
Passengers who had already booked tickets on the now-cancelled routes are advised to contact the airline for rebooking or refunds.
