Air India’s direct service between Goa and London (Gatwick), which had been temporarily suspended, is set to resume in the Winter Schedule 2025, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has confirmed.
In a written reply to Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol stated that the launch or resumption of direct international flights from any point in India is a commercial decision of airlines, based on factors such as passenger demand, availability of slots, route viability, and other operational considerations.
The Goa–London route had earlier attracted significant demand, particularly from tourists and the Goan diaspora in the UK. Its resumption is expected to boost connectivity and support Goa’s tourism-driven economy.
Air India is likely to announce detailed schedules and ticketing options closer to the winter launch.
