Shock and sorrow gripped BITS Pilani’s Goa campus after the sudden passing of 20-year-old Kushagra Jain, a third-year Computer Science student, who was found in his hostel room on August 16, 2025. The Verna Police have registered the case as an Unnatural Death, and investigations are underway.
Kushagra’s absence from classes and daily routine first raised concern among his hostel mates. When they alerted the warden, he, along with security staff, opened the locked room and found Kushagra unresponsive. Despite immediate medical attention, he was declared dead at the scene.
