24-Year-Old Found Dead Near Home in Ambede-Nagargao; Autopsy Points to Neck Compression

Ambede-Nagargao, Goa: The mysterious death of Shravan Devidas Barve (24) has taken a serious turn after an autopsy confirmed that he died due to asphyxiation caused by forceful compression of the neck, strengthening his family’s suspicions of foul play.

Shravan’s lifeless body was discovered around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, lying just outside his residence, approximately 200 metres from the Hanuman temple in Ambede-Nagargao. His death is believed to have occurred sometime during Monday night, under circumstances that have now come under intense scrutiny.

The postmortem report, released by medical authorities, indicates that Shravan did not die of natural causes but rather due to external pressure on the neck, consistent with strangulation. This revelation contradicts any initial assumptions of accidental or self-inflicted harm and has escalated calls from the family for a thorough investigation.

"The findings clearly suggest someone may have intentionally caused his death. We want justice for Shravan," a family member said, demanding that authorities treat the case as a suspected homicide.

As of now, local law enforcement has not issued a formal statement, but sources suggest that police are probing the incident and are likely to register a case of unnatural death pending further inquiry.

Shravan’s death has left the tight-knit community of Ambede-Nagargao in shock, with neighbors and friends urging authorities to swiftly identify any suspects and ensure accountability.
