
Bhatti SC emerged champions of the Silver Jubilee Cup 2025, defeating Agxem SC 5–3 in a thrilling final of the 9-a-side Inter-Ward Football Tournament organized by Sporting Club Virabhat at St Alex Church Ground, Curtorim.
A large Sunday crowd turned up to witness the much-anticipated final. Agxem drew first blood in the 10th minute through Jovel Martins, taking an early 1–0 lead. Bhatti responded swiftly, equalizing in the 18th minute with a strike from Ralf Dias, ending the first half 1–1.
In the second half, Bhatti dominated the game. Tony Dias put them ahead in the 40th minute, followed by a second goal from Ralf Dias in the 45th minute to make it 3–1. Despite Agxem’s efforts to mount a comeback, Bhatti’s defense, led by Aaron Dias, held firm until the final whistle.
