The Narve Ashtam festival, celebrated annually during Gokulashtami, was observed with great devotion and traditional fervor in Bicholim. The highlight of the occasion was the arrival of deities from neighboring villages, carried in beautifully adorned palanquins to the sacred Triveni Sangam in Narve, where devotees gathered in large numbers.

The day was marked by vibrant rituals, including offerings, prayers, and devotional hymns, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere at the riverbank. Residents and visitors alike participated in the celebrations, reaffirming the festival’s cultural and religious significance in the region.

Adding to the festivities was a lively village fair, where stalls selling traditional sweets, local delicacies, and handicrafts attracted enthusiastic crowds. The fair provided a blend of spirituality and community bonding, turning the event into both a religious observance and a social gathering.

The Narve Ashtam continues to be a symbol of Goa’s rich cultural heritage and community spirit.
