PONDA: A brazen daylight robbery was reported at Kundaim Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) on Wednesday, where two occupants of a silver car looted a scooterist of Rs 1.50 lakh.
According to the complaint filed by Chaturbhuj Nathu Ghintal, a resident of Kasumbi Jhakla, Rajasthan, the incident occurred at around 2.20 p.m. near Aai Jee Interior workshop in IDC Kundaim. Ghintal was traveling on his scooter when two unidentified individuals in a hatchback car stopped him, pushed him into the bushes nearby, and restrained him by covering his mouth.
The accused then opened the scooter's tool compartment and stole Rs 1.50 lakh in cash, consisting of 300 Rs 500 notes, before fleeing the scene.
Mardol police have registered the case under Sections 134 and 304, read with 3(5) of the BNS Act, 2023, and further investigation is being led by PSI Sushant H Sangodkar.
