New information has surfaced regarding the case of the rape of minor girls. Reports indicate that several months ago, the 19-year-old suspect established a friendship with a 15-year-old girl through social media and initiated conversations with her. Last week, he extended an invitation to her to celebrate her birthday. On Saturday, the 15-year-old girl departed from her home accompanied by her 13-year-old sister and an 11-year-old friend to meet the primary suspect.
The primary suspect, aged 19, along with his 21-year-old accomplice, reserved a room at a hotel in Calangute, where they checked in with the three minors to spend the night and commemorate the 15-year-old girl's birthday by cutting a cake. It is alleged that the suspect purchased items for the girls and provided them with beer, which caused them to become disoriented. Subsequently, the primary suspect is accused of raping the 15-year-old girl while his accomplice repeatedly assaulted the other two minors.
In the meantime, the hotel owner, Rajat Chauhan, a resident of Haryana, was also apprehended for allegedly permitting the minor girls to stay without proper verification and parental consent, thus facilitating the crime, leading to the sealing of the hotel.
