PANJIM: Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao on Tuesday blessed the second Street Providence relief truck which left for Wayanad, Kerala.
The truck along with Street Providence volunteers is carrying essential items for the landslide affected people, who were left homeless in the wake of the unprecedented disaster recently. Dr Anthony De Sa IAS (Retd), former Chief secretary of Madhya Pradesh flagged off the second relief truck at the Bishop’s House, Altinho-Panjim. Former Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Bosco George IPS (retd) was the special invitee.
The first truck with essential commodities was flagged off by Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai and was blessed by Fr Fredrick Rodrigues (SFX) on August 13.
Donald Fernandes of Street Providence Trust thanked its benefactors who donated towards the relief fund.
