CES College of Arts and Commerce, Cuncolim, lifted the 2nd Inter-College Football Tournament Cup after defeating Government College, Sanquelim, 2–1 in the thrilling final played at the DSYA Ground, Ambelim, on August 22, 2025.
Organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports in collaboration with the Students’ Council of CES College, the tournament kicked off on August 19 and drew enthusiastic participation. More than 500 spectators gathered to witness the grand finale.
Government College Sanquelim took the lead in the 15th minute through Zaid Khan’s powerful strike. CES responded in the 30th minute when Praveen Khole scored with a long-range effort to level the game 1–1. A decisive moment came in the 52nd minute as Saiesh Gaonkar netted the winner for CES, sealing their 2–1 triumph.

The chief guest, India U-17 football coach Bibiano Fernandes, presented the trophies, joined by dignitaries including Prakash Dessai (Secretary, CES Institutions), Shailesh Vaidya (CES Member), Parvath Naik (Physical Director), and India U-17 Goalkeeper Coach Parshuram Salwadi.
