
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has assured that the elephant Omkar will be safely relocated in coordination with authorities from Goa, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.
The CM further stated that farmers affected by the animal’s movement will be compensated “in every possible way.” He emphasized that the government is committed to both wildlife safety and the protection of farmers’ livelihoods.
Authorities from the three states are expected to work jointly to ensure a smooth and humane relocation process.
