In a bid to strengthen public safety and emergency response, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday flagged off five new Police Control Room (PCR) vehicles under the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112) for the areas of Mandrem, Mopa, Valpoi, Cuncolim, and Canacona.
Highlighting the improvement in emergency services, CM Sawant noted that the average police response time in Goa dropped to 11 minutes and 22 seconds in July, a significant improvement in the state’s emergency response capabilities.
The Chief Minister also announced the upcoming introduction of 14 Pink Force vehicles, dedicated to women’s safety, and revealed plans to deploy additional robot patrols to enhance surveillance and law enforcement presence in public areas.
“These initiatives are part of our continued commitment to making Goa safer for residents and tourists alike,” said CM Sawant.
