Minister for Cooperation, Subhash Shirodkar, visited Dharbandora Taluka to attend the Co-op Societies Meet 2025, alongside Sanvordem MLA Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar and other dignitaries. Reviewing the performance of local cooperative societies, Shirodkar stressed aligning their progress with the central government’s vision of “Sahakar se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation).
He highlighted the role of cooperatives in empowering rural communities through employment generation, financial inclusion, and last-mile access to markets and services. The minister also discussed modernization plans for Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), including digitalization and expanded services.
The meet emphasized grassroots participation and urged cooperative societies to embrace modern communication tools to strengthen public trust and awareness. The event provided a platform to boost Dharbandora’s cooperative ecosystem, paving the way for regional growth and prosperity.
