The Crime Branch arrested Eziashi Ikechukwu Callistus, 38, a Nigerian national, from a rented residence at Igrez Vaddo, Marna-Siolim, in a major drug seizure.
During the operation, the team led by PI Manguesh Valvaikar, along with PI Prashal Dessai, PI Laxi Amonkar, PSI Amin A. Naik, LPSI Pragati Malik, ASI Shriram Salgaonkar, and PCs Swapnil Simepurushkar and Adarsh Gawas, recovered 35.5 grams of cocaine, 4.4 grams of methamphetamine, and 2.3 grams of MDMA. The total estimated value of the seized narcotics is around ₹8.5 lakh.
Callistus has been booked under the NDPS Act. The investigation is being carried out by PSI Amin A. Naik, under the supervision of DySP Crime and overall guidance of SP Crime Rahul Gupta, IPS.
