Curchorem Man Arrested for ₹3.3 Lakh Online Fraud in Margao Motorcycle Sale Scam

Margao police have arrested a Curchorem resident for allegedly cheating a Pajifond-Margao man of ₹3.3 lakh in an online motorcycle sale scam.

According to police, the accused posed as a motorcycle seller on social media and induced the victim to transfer the money across multiple bank accounts between April 4 and April 16, 2025. Investigators said the fraud was carried out using computer sources.

A case has been registered under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and Section 66-D of the Information Technology Act, 2000. The accused is currently in custody as further investigation continues.
