Decomposed human head found on Sinquerim beach

CALANGUTE: The decomposed head of a human was discovered washed up under suspicious circumstances on Sinquerim beach on Tuesday morning.

According to Calangute police, the deceased appears to be a woman based on the appearance of the remains. Authorities are working to identify the individual, checking reports of missing persons at various police stations. Police have not commented on whether foul play is suspected.

A series of murders and suspicious deaths have recently shaken the Calangute-Candolim tourism hub. On August 10, Delhi resident Harish Tanwar was found dead at Baga beach, leading to the arrest of three drug peddlers in connection with the case.

Last week, Deodita Fernandes, a landlady, was discovered strangled in her apartment at Naikawaddo, Calangute, with two property brokers arrested for her murder.

In July, Candolim resident Arnaldo Soares was found with his throat cut in his home. Additionally, a 25-year-old laborer from Bihar, identified as Sanjay Sharma, was found dead in a water tank at a construction site in Candolim on July 21.
