A dowry harassment case has been registered at Ponda police station after a woman from Khadpaband-Ponda accused her husband and in-laws of subjecting her to mental cruelty and physical assault for not bringing dowry.
According to the complaint, the alleged abuse occurred between June 8 and June 28, 2025. During this period, the woman claims she was repeatedly harassed, assaulted, and mentally tortured by the accused, who acted with common intention.
Police have confirmed that the case is under investigation, with statements being recorded and further inquiries underway at Ponda police station.
