The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Rohan Harmalkar in connection with a high-profile land grab case in Bardez taluka, escalating its investigation into one of Goa’s biggest property-related scams.
The ED had earlier seized documents related to immovable properties valued at approximately ₹1,000 crore, all allegedly linked to Harmalkar. These properties span several key locations across Bardez, and the agency suspects irregularities and fraudulent documentation in their acquisition.
The arrest comes after weeks of scrutiny, during which ED officials examined ownership papers, land transfer records, and possible links to benami transactions.
Harmalkar is expected to be produced before a special court soon as the investigation continues into the suspected land mafia operations in Goa. More arrests may follow as the agency probes deeper into the real estate racket.
