Traffic was briefly disrupted in Mapusa after a truck’s top carrier struck a mango tree branch at Shetye Waddo near District Hospital Road, causing the large branch to break and completely block the road.
A parked car was damaged in the incident. The Mapusa Fire and Emergency Services team responded promptly, removing the fallen branch and restoring traffic flow.
No injuries were reported. Authorities have urged drivers of heavy vehicles to exercise caution on roads with low-hanging branches.
