Colva Police Launch Search for Organisers After Fatal Bull Fight Incident

Illegal Bull Fight in Seraulim Turns Fatal, FIR Registered by Colva Police

Colva police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) following the organisation of an illegal bull fight in Seraulim, which resulted in the death of a bull from Varca. The event, held in violation of existing animal welfare laws, has prompted a police investigation.

Authorities have launched a search to identify and apprehend those responsible for orchestrating the banned event. Bull fights, locally known as dhirio, are illegal under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, yet such incidents continue to surface in parts of Goa.

Police have confirmed that the deceased bull sustained fatal injuries during the fight, raising renewed concerns over the enforcement of animal rights and the need for stricter monitoring of rural events.
