A fire broke out at the residence of Sadanand Poojari, located opposite Pai Hospital in Vaddem, causing significant damage to several household items. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, though firefighters reported that a bed was engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene. The fire was quickly extinguished using water, but investigations into the cause are still ongoing.
Poojari, who was on his way to his hometown, was notified about the fire at his residence and had to return to witness the damage firsthand. "I was on the way to go to my hometown when I was informed about the fire at my residence. I had to turn back and found a big fire that had damaged my beds, clothes, and other utility articles," Poojari said. He expressed uncertainty about the potential cause of the fire, adding that he was still unsure what triggered the outbreak.
While the authorities continue to investigate, Poojari is left to assess the extent of the loss caused by the fire. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze, preventing further damage, but the incident has raised concerns among locals about the safety of residential areas.
