GFDC bats for eco-tourism projects

PANJIM: The Goa Forest Development Corporation (GFDC) board on Thursday focussed on promoting eco-tourism projects and enhancing cashew plantations in the State.
The 112th Board meeting of the Goa Forest Development Corporation chaired by GFDC chairperson and Poriem MLA Deviya Rane took a comprehensive review of its functioning and addressed key areas of concern.
After the meeting, Rane stated, “Our discussions focused on advancing eco-tourism projects and enhancing cashew plantations. Our mission is to promote sustainable development while preserving Goa's rich biodiversity. With a clear vision of making Goa a leader in eco-tourism, we are committed to creating opportunities that not only benefit the environment but also provide employment and boost local economies, ensuring long-term growth and prosperity for the State.”
Managing Director of GFDC Nandakumar E Parab and other board members attended the meeting.
