Amit Patkar, Goa Congress chief, has refuted claims by NSUI state president Naushad Chowdhari that he assaulted him, insisting that the matter has been resolved.

Chowdhari had lodged a complaint with NSUI national president Varun Choudhary, alleging that Patkar verbally abused and pushed him at the Panaji Congress office on Thursday during a protest related to “vote theft.”

Addressing the media, Patkar said, “The matter is settled. Naushad is like a child to us. The allegations are completely false.” He further claimed the BJP was using the complaint to divert attention from the Congress’s campaign against vote fraud.

“The letter is circulating on BJP’s social media. Let’s focus on the core issue of vote chori instead of getting distracted by controversies,” Patkar added, highlighting Rahul Gandhi’s nationwide efforts to address alleged voter malpractice.
