In a chilling turn of events, Ponda police have arrested Sanjay Kevin, a resident of Karnataka, in connection with the recent murder case in Dharbandora. South Goa Superintendent of Police Tikam Singh Verma confirmed that both the accused and the victim hailed from Bengaluru and were reportedly in a relationship.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the crime was the result of escalating personal issues between the two. “The motive appears to stem from unresolved personal differences,” SP Verma stated, adding that while the initial findings point in this direction, further details will emerge as the investigation progresses.
The case came to light when the victim’s body was discovered in Dharbandora, triggering an immediate police response. Acting swiftly on leads, authorities zeroed in on Sanjay Kevin, who was then taken into custody.
