The Goa Police Crime Branch has filed a comprehensive 304-page chargesheet in the high-profile Assagao house demolition and abduction case, naming 13 individuals as accused. The chargesheet outlines serious allegations, including the illegal demolition of a house and the abduction of two residents.

Among those previously under scrutiny was Pooja, the wife of an intelligence officer, who was initially linked to the case. However, she has not been named in the chargesheet due to insufficient evidence. Despite being summoned multiple times by the police, Pooja failed to appear for questioning and subsequently sought anticipatory bail, fearing arrest. The court later granted her bail.

According to the Crime Branch investigation, the accused allegedly used an excavator to illegally demolish the property in Assagao and abducted two individuals who were residing in the house at the time. The case was initially handled by Anjuna Police but was later transferred to the Crime Branch for a more in-depth probe.

So far, six individuals have been arrested, including an excavator operator and a prominent real estate businessman. The investigation is ongoing, with the chargesheet marking a significant step forward in the pursuit of justice in the case.
