Director General of Police (DGP) Alok Kumar (IPS) on Tuesday chaired a review meeting on the law and order situation at the South Goa district police headquarters in Margao.
During the meeting, the DGP stressed the need for strict and proactive policing, assuring citizens that the police force will not tolerate any form of lawlessness.
Issuing a strong warning, Kumar said Goa will “not be allowed to turn into Mirzapur,” referencing the lawlessness depicted in the popular crime series. He emphasized that the state police is committed to maintaining peace, order, and the rule of law.
Senior police officials from South Goa attended the review session, where strategies to curb rising incidents of crime and strengthen community policing were discussed.
